CrowdOptic uses real-time sensor data from electronic devices and its own patented CrowdOptic algorithms to identify and track where devices are aimed (focus) and to identify groups of people with the same focus (clusters). CrowdOptic technology, which includes sensor data smoothing, EXIF data mining and focal analytics, is instantly deployable in a range of mobile applications and technology environments to enhance broadcasting, security, social media sharing and advertising.

CrowdOptic's technology is protected by U.S. Patent 8,527,340, Australia Patent No. 2012225536, Japan Patent No. 2013-557831, Korea Patent No. 10-1383238, Canadian Patent No. 2,829,597, plus four U.S. and four international patents pending, some of which have been allowed.

Jon Fisher

Chief Executive Officer / Director

Jon is CrowdOptic's CEO and served as CEO of Bharosa (Oracle NASDAQ: ORCL), NetClerk (BidClerk) and AutoReach (AutoNation NYSE: AN). Fisher is a named inventor on six US and ten foreign patents, and four US and 17 foreign patents pending. Jon is a recipient of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year, Award (Emerging Category, 2007) and lives in Marin County, CA with his wife and daughter.


Tony Wu

Chief Financial Officer

Tony is CrowdOptic's CFO and brings over 16 years of finance and technology experience, including top financial executive positions at Bharosa (Oracle NASDAQ: ORCL), Agistix, and NetClerk (BidClerk). Tony lives with his wife and two sons in the East Bay of San Francisco, California.


James Redfield

VP of Engineering

Jim is CrowdOptic's Vice President of Engineering. He re-joins his former colleagues from Bharosa after six years at Oracle (NASDAQ: ORCL), where he managed development for the Oracle Adaptive Access Manager product. Jim brings over 30 years of experience and has held senior positions with several startups in Silicon Valley. Jim holds a Ph.D. in Zoology and has worked as a Senior Research Scientist with CSIRO in Australia. Jim lives with his wife in Boise, Idaho.


Jim Kovach

VP Business Development

Jim earned his medical degree during a seven year career as middle linebacker for the New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49rs. After retiring from the NFL, he obtained his law degree and since then has worked in a variety of entrepreneurial settings from venture backed startups to independent research institutes. He lives in Marin County with his wife Nora.


Richard Smith

VP of Product

Rich is CrowdOptic's Vice President of Product and is responsible for product vision, design and development. Rich's career has been focused on building web-based products and applications for the past 12 years. He is an entrepreneur at heart and re-joins his former Bharosa (Oracle NASDAQ: ORCL) colleagues at CrowdOptic from Microsoft. Rich lives north of Seattle, WA with his wife and 2 children and enjoys playing hockey.


Danielle Cole

VP Marketing

Danielle is CrowdOptic's Vice President of Marketing and brings with her nearly 15 years experience including marketing positions at Bharosa (Oracle NASDAQ: ORCL) and Travelocity. Danielle specializes in marketing breakthrough, emerging technologies. She lives with her husband and two sons in San Mateo County, California.


Austin Markus

Sr. Dir. Engineering, Servers

Austin is a software engineer with CrowdOptic. A former member of the Bharosa team (Oracle NASDAQ: ORCL), he has nearly 15 years of experience creating web applications and has handled everything from writing instructional books on coding technique to building social networking and eCommerce sites. Austin lives in San Francisco and is the proud father of a baby girl.


Luke Harris

Sr. Dir. Engineering

Luke oversees analytics and algorithm development for CrowdOptic. He previously served as a lead engineer with Bharosa (Oracle NASDAQ: ORCL) and at Oracle he assisted with the integration and development of Oracle Adaptive Access Manager. Luke enjoys building model rockets and lives in the California Inland Empire.


Doug Van Blaricom

Sr. Dir. Engineering, Mobile Devices

Doug performs device-side software engineering for CrowdOptic and served as Technical Manager for ITK USA, a subsidiary of ITK Telecommunications, AG. Doug is a lifelong Bay Area resident, studied at a music conservatory in southern California and played lead guitar in the semi-famous 80's band Robert Seidler.


Josh Davis

Senior Software Engineer

Josh is a senior software engineer with CrowdOptic. He is formerly of Oracle (Oracle NASDAQ: ORCL) and Bharosa, where he helped develop Oracle Adaptive Access Manager. With 19 years of software development experience, he has worked on several projects in various fields including access management, database marketing, and biotech. Josh enjoys brewing beer and lives near Charlotte, NC.


Bryan Green

Senior Software Engineer

Bryan is a Senior Software Engineer with CrowdOptic. Previously at Applied Immune Sciences, Bryan is a Java engineer and a database expert. Bryan lives with his wife Karen in the Sacramento region, where he is an avid Amateur Radio enthusiast.


Jeff Broderick

Technical Strategist

Jeff performs the roles of Technical Strategist and Evangelist at CrowdOptic. He has over 15 years of technology experience, including engineering positions at NetClerk (BidClerk), and has also co-founded several startups, including LoanHounds (NASDAQ: QNST). Jeff logs over 4,000 miles a year bicycle commuting from his home in Marin county where he lives with his wife and two daughters.


Alex Malinovsky

Database Architect

Alex is a software architect with CrowdOptic. Alex is an engineering veteran with over 20 years experience in aerospace, manufacturing, retail and transit systems. Alex is a Bay Area resident who grew up in South America and has traveled much of the world.


Joe Kovach

Sales Support Engineer

Joe supports CrowdOptic's sales engineering efforts, and interfaces with both clients and the Company's product development and deployment teams. Joe has supported numerous CrowdOptic implementations, and brings an understanding of CrowdOptic's deployment and technical requirements to the client engagement process. Joe graduated from UCLA and resides in San Rafael, California.
